Description RESITAN SMR003 is a modified Novolac Phenolic resin.
Applications Coating sands with resin for shell moulding process
(croning), where excellent peel – back free properties
and dimensional stability of cores and shells are
required.

Direction For Use Coating is possible in all commercial mixers.
Depending on the type of mixers, coating temperatures
between 120 −150 °C can be used.
Resitan SMR003 requires 10 − 16% of Hexamine to be
cured. To facilitate core release calcium stearate may be
used as a shall.
When water – based paints are used to coat cores a 5%
alcohol addition to mixture may be advantageous,
avoiding poor wetting problem.
Storage Life Max 3 months.
Storage Conditions Keep tightly and dry in cool and dry place at max 20°C.
Safety Precautions Like all synthetic resins, this material can cause skin irritation, which can be more or less severe according to the skin sensitivity of the person concerned. Therefore operators should always wear industrial and full makes.
