Resitan TF200 Thermoshock Resin This resin is a polycondensation product of Urea- formaldehyde and furfuryl alcohol whish is special used in hot curing thermo-shock system.
Resitan TF200 is used in core production process for radiator casting, special with Thermo-shock system.
Description RESITAN TF200 is polycondensation product of Urea-
formaldehyde and furfuryl alcohol which is specially used
in hot curing thermo – shock system.
Applications RESITAN TF200 is used in core production process for
radiator casting, specially with thermo – shock system.
Specifications Viscosity (20 °C) 19 – 23 pa.s( at delivery time)
Density (20 °C) 1.35 ± 0.05 gr/cm3
Direction For Use RESITAN TF200 is used in combination with hardness RESITAN H003 or RESITAN H004.
Suggested Laboratory Test In a 2 liters laboratory mixture arrange the following test mixture at 22 °C.
100 parts (by weight) silica sand (AFS 48-52)
0.2 parts ( by weight) Resitan H003 or H004
2 parts (by weight) Resitan TF200
At first add hardener to sand and mix for 1 – 2 minutes then add Resitan TF200 mix well for another 1 – 2 minutes.
The standard cores made from the above compound are cured at 220 °C.
Storage Life Max 3 months with viscosity incrising.
Storage Conditions Must be kept in a cool place (20°C) in closed drums. keep away from any source of heat and direct sunlight.
Safety Precautions RESIN:
Like all these synthetic resin, this material can cause skin sensitivity of the person concered.
Therefore operators should always wear industrial gloves.
Activator (hardener) :
Extended contact of hardener, Resitan H003 or H004, with the skin can cause irritation and decolouring. The use of protective gloves is strongly recommended. Use goggles working with hardeners H003 or H004.
